Damit ihr Eure Teilnahme an einem Wordcamp rechtzeitig planen könnt - hier ein Einblick auf die aktuell anstehenden Camps...

Weltweit tragen viele Einzelpersonen zu Software-Updates bei und engagieren sich bei der Organisation kostenloser Veranstaltungen, um den Leuten mehr über die Verwendung von WordPress zu vermitteln.

WordCamps sind gemeinnützige Veranstaltungen, die von Freiwilligen auf der ganzen Welt organisiert werden. WordCamp-Veranstaltungen können Städte, Regionen oder sogar Länder repräsentieren. Sehr regelmäßig werden neue Standorte hinzugefügt, da Community-Mitglieder die Verantwortung für die Organisation von Veranstaltungen übernehmen, entsprechend der gestiegenen Nachfrage in Gebieten, in denen es noch kein etabliertes WordCamp gibt.

Eines der allerersten WordCamp wurde 2006 von Matt Mullenweg in San Francisco organisiert. Mittlerweile gibt es Wordcamps auf allen Kontinenten - und es wurden schon weit mehr als 1000 WordCamps in mehr als 100 Städten abgehalten.

The Switzerland Community Day is part of “NextGen events”, a new format of WordPress events.
We’ve chosen an English name to bring together people from all over Switzerland, and four guests from four other countries. We’ll be speaking German, French, Italian and English, depending on the groups we create.
The format of this event will be at the crossroad between WordCamps, Contributor Days and meetups. We want to bring together people who want to contribute to the WordPress project or who are already contributing.

WordCamp Vienna is the biggest WordCamp in central Europe and will take place on April 5th and 6th, 2024 at the Alten AKH campus of the University of Vienna. WordCamp Vienna takes place since 2015, hosted WordCamp Europe in 2016, and is powered by generous sponsors and an epic team of WordPress enthusiasts organizers and volunteers. This year we will start on Friday 5th of April at midday with three tracks with WordPress Workshops for Beginner, Advanced and Developer users. On Saturday 6th of April we will have as usual our Conference Day with our famous three tracks of WordPress-focused talks in English, German and Developers languages
