We are a software company based in Berlin, Gießen and San Francisco - and are looking for a talented web developer and system administrator on a contract basis. You will be integral to the marketing team workflow and assist in keeping the website up to the highest standards available with constant enhancements, optimizations and monitoring security.

Your responsibilities will include

• Working closely with the marketing department and SEO specialists
• Provide input into functional specifications for enhancements
• Improve and optimize the code and design.
• Testing cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility for inconsistencies.
• Maintaining server-side security and updates

About You
You should be a passionate WordPress developer with enough experience to hit the ground running. Ideal candidates will have a can-do attitude, passion for technology, extensive HTML/CSS/JavaScript development experience and will be able to manage a Linux web server via CLI.

Required Skills/Experience

• WordPress Multisite, with strong PHP skills
• CentOS CLI and general Linux system administration
• WHM / cPanel and all of it’s standard components (DNS, Apache config, etc)
• Strong knowledge and experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery
• Strong Bootstrap understanding
• NPM (some Node.js experience a plus)
• Grunt/Gulp + LESS, including best practices
• Git (Bitbucket experience a plus)
• W3 Total Cache and CDN (MaxCDN) monitoring and optimization
• Gravity Forms (SalesForce Web-to-Lead a plus)
• Advanced Custom Fields (WordPress)

• Roots.io (Bedrock+Sage)
• Composer (php)
• Capistrano (rails)
• Bower (node)
